Raised in an entrepreneurial household where neither parent worked a 9 to 5, Jonathan Levi’s entrepreneurial career started at a very young age. At 4 years old, he began offering unsolicited marketing consultation to his mother’s boutique business. By age 6, he and his neighborhood friends had a booming business selling hand-made artwork door-to-door. Throughout middle school, Levi would dabble in various businesses, starting a mobile DJ company with his life savings. By the 8th grade, Levi had established a multimedia web design firm with a number of clients, whereby he served as an early beta tester for Macromedia Flash.
By the age of 15, the budding entrepreneur conceived of a way to merge his passions for fast cars and small businesses. Founding Jlevi StreetWerks during his sophomore year of high school, Jonathan quickly grew the business into a worldwide phenomenon in the BMW industry, from nothing but $1,200 and his family’s garage.
While earning a degree with honors from the University of California, Berkeley, Levi carefully selected a team to aid him in building the JleviSW empire. Together, they grew the business from a reasonably successful e-Commerce niche company to a multi million dollar enterprise, with a physical storefront, distribution center, and a customer base spanning 95 countries worldwide.
It was during this time that Levi gained much of his practical knowledge, both in business and in the classrooms of Berkeley’s revered schools of Economics, Business, and Sociology. The challenges of running a small business remotely, with no credit history, and no capital to speak of, taught Levi crucial skills, and fostered a fundamental understanding of how businesses can be run smoothly, effectively, and affordably. While at Berkeley, he also started a number of other ventures, including a mobile software business.
After successfully selling JleviSW in April of 2011, Levi then served the Silicon Valley chapter of the Entrepreneur’s Organization as President. This afforded him the opportunity to attend lectures, seminars, and events all over the world, further enhancing his skills as an entrepreneur, leader, and professional. Shortly thereafter, Levi packed up for Israel, to gain experience at Rhodium, a Venture Capital Firm specializing in New Media and Mobile. Currently, Levi is attending the world-renowned INSEAD Business School to pursue his Master’s degree in Business Administration.
Levi has been featured in such publications and programs as the Wall Street Journal, Nana10 Television, The Silicon Valley Business Journal, Bimmer Magazine, BMW Blog, and Donna Fenn’s latest book, Upstarts! How GenY Entrepreneurs are Rocking the World of Business and 8 Ways You Can Profit from Their Success, among other blogs and publications.
Yuriy Malov is a highly skilled web developer and programmer from Moscow, Russia. He holds a bachelor’s degree in Informations Systems and Computer Science from Petrozavodsk State University. Over the last 15 years, he has become an expert in a dozen programming languages and a multitude of ancillary skills relating to PHP web development, AJAX, Ruby on Rails, Javascript, and much, much more.
With his specialty in open-source PHP platforms such as osCommerce, Joomla, and Magento, Yuriy has accumulated quite a following on various freelance marketplaces such as eLance.com (where he is ranked among the top professionals in his field) and Freelancer.com, where he holds an overall customer satisfaction rating of 4.9 out of 5. Truly, this is a reflection of his extraordinary skills in communication, clarity, promptness, and professionalism. Yuriy has also been instrumental in the development of many Lucid Path Consulting projects, including our popular Sales Rep Commission Manager for Magento.
Yuriy’s key competitive advantage lies in his intuition and aptitude when it comes to understanding a client’s needs. While many programmers will simply complete the job as requested – for better or worse – it is very rare to find a programmer who understands the intent and scope of the project, and can contribute productively to the end result. For this reason, Yuriy often enjoys making recommendations or suggestions as to how our clients can improve their web development projects.
In his free time, Yuriy enjoys reading, fishing, and touring Thailand, where he is currently on an extended visa.
