Vorsteiner V-35 Hood
The Vorsteiner V-35 Hood and 1 Series Vented Race Hood were each designed by Jonathan Levi of Lucid Path Consulting.
Vorsteiner’s brand and root foundation is built upon building nothing but the absolute highest quality parts for the most discerning clientele. Their tag line, “Perfection Redefined,” says it all. So when Vorsteiner sought to design and develop a line of Carbon Fiber hoods for the BMW 3 Series and 1 Series, they turned to Jonathan Levi of Lucid Path Consulting.
Jonathan researched the demands of the market place, gaining an understanding of the needs and concerns of potential customers. He came to learn that heat accumulated in unusual areas in the turbo models of these two vehicles, and set about to design a beautiful yet functional center vent – a first for Vorsteiner Technik.
Once the initial design variants were developed, Jonathan harnessed the power of crowdsourcing, garnering consumer opinions to choose among them. At last, a finalized design was delivered to Vorsteiner with the guarantee that it would suit their customer base perfectly.
The completed hood is both aesthetically beautiful and functional, dissipating a great deal of heat and cooling both ambient air temperatures and engine oil temperatures. It features OEM lines and styling with an added level of aggression and visual appeal. For these reasons, paired with Vorsteiner’s legendary quality construction and brand equity, the hoods have been a tremendous success, far outpacing options offered by their competitors.
